The TOHAKU is a series of sumac wax candles that are inspired by 'The Pine Trees', a famous 16th century painting by artist Tohaku Hasegawa. The delicate atmosphere of this artwork is reflected in the gentle curving shape of the candle and its light. Crafted with natural materials, Takazawa Candle artisans produce these beautiful objects in honour of a traditional Japanese candle-making technique that we can continue to enjoy today.
